Acacia Communications is a technology company that developed high-speed coherent optical interconnect products for cloud, content, and communications networks. The company was acquired by Cisco Systems in March 2021. Acacia's technology was integrated into Cisco's Optics business to bolster its "Internet for the Future" strategy.
